About NLA Kids Ministry

At NLA Kids, we see every child as a beloved part of God’s family. Our prayer is that as they grow, they will be firmly rooted in Christ—like strong “oaks of righteousness”—equipped to carry their faith into future generations.

NLA Kids on Sunday Mornings

Sundays at 10:00am (During Sunday Celebration)*
Check-In begins at 9:45am

Infants and Toddlers

A Family Room is available for parent(s) and infants. This room is equipped with changing tables, rocking chairs, and a live video feed from the Sanctuary.

Toddlers (2-3yo) are welcome to play in the Toddler Room which includes various toys. Toddlers are cared for by a team of qualified and screened volunteers who also provide introductory lessons for the children.

Preschool & Pre-K

Currently, our Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten students gather for a time of fun, activities, and learning.

Children in this group must be potty trained.

K-5th Grade

Our elementary students dive into important lessons and activities which teach them about God's love for them and for our world. This is the early training ground for our kids as they prepare to become active participants in God's work of reconciliation in the world.
*On the First Sunday of each month, children Preschool and older are invited to join the beginning of the church service. After communion, children are invited to their classrooms. The Family and Toddler rooms are still available. 

FAQs

How many adults will there be in my child's class?

Our policy is to have have least 2 responsible adults in each classroom, per California standards for child safety and protection. When possible, we will have an additional person present to serve as an aid, focusing on any kids with special needs.

Who will be my child's teacher?

The teachers in NLA Kids are volunteer members of our church family who are committed to the wellbeing and spiritual formation of all children in their care. All of our teachers have been trained and background checked and will be easily identifiable by their Newsong LA Kids shirts.

What COVID-19 safety protocols are in place?

At Newsong LA, we follow the guidelines for safety as provided by local and state officials. Well-fitting face masks are highly recommended for all individuals over the age of 2. While vaccines are not required, we recommend that all people follow recommendations of our public health officials.

May I drop of my kids and go shopping?

Really? I mean, we suppose you could. But a much better choice would be to go to church. :)
